Purpose

PTI Europa A/S is actively committed to reducing its environmental impact and promoting sustainable development – both within our own operations and in collaboration with suppliers and customers. This Environmental Policy forms the foundation of our Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 and supports our practical approach to the green transition.

Our Commitments

1. Compliance with Legislation and Other Requirements

We are committed to complying with applicable environmental legislation and other relevant requirements, including customer requirements and expectations from authorities and stakeholders.

2. Continuous Improvement and Responsible Operations

We continuously work to improve our Environmental Management System and environmental performance through defined objectives and initiatives. This applies to our production activities, facilities, and supply chain.

3. Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

We invest in renewable energy solutions, including the installation of solar photovoltaic systems at our facilities, to reduce our carbon footprint. We continuously optimize energy consumption and implement energy-efficient solutions.

4. Environmentally Responsible Building Maintenance and Operations

When renovating and maintaining our facilities, we prioritize materials and solutions with a low environmental impact. We strive to reduce energy losses and improve resource efficiency through sustainable building practices.

5. Protection of Nature and Biodiversity

We integrate biodiversity considerations into our operations by promoting green areas and local nature initiatives at our facilities. We aim to be a positive contributor to the local community through environmental improvements such as insect hotels, wildflower habitats, and green zones.

6. Responsible Supplier Engagement

We set environmental expectations for our suppliers, including a focus on CO₂ reduction, chemical management, and transportation impacts. Through our Supplier Code of Conduct, we promote responsible production practices and resource efficiency, including among suppliers located outside the EU.

7. PFAS Risk Assessment and Substitution

We systematically identify and assess the use of PFAS within our product portfolio and supply chain. Wherever possible, we seek to eliminate or substitute substances of concern and ensure compliance with current and future regulatory requirements.

8. Waste Management and Circular Thinking

We minimize waste through reuse, recycling, and proper waste segregation. We utilize surplus materials from other production processes within our product portfolio and continuously work to increase material efficiency and circularity.

9. Employee Engagement and Environmental Culture

We promote environmental awareness among employees through communication, training, and participation in environmental initiatives. We believe that a sustainable culture starts from within.

10. Supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

We actively contribute to the following SDGs:

• SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy (solar energy, LED lighting)
• SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities (biodiversity and green initiatives)
• SDG 15 – Life on Land (nature conservation and biodiversity enhancement)

This policy is approved by management and communicated to all employees, suppliers, customers, and other relevant stakeholders. It is reviewed at least annually as part of our Environmental Management System to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness.
