Flanged Units Mounting Guide
Applicable for: SA / HC / SB / UC Bearing Inserts
-
Mounting the Housing
-
Slide the flange unit onto the shaft.
-
Align the housing with the fixing holes in the adjacent construction.
-
-
Securing the Housing
-
Bolt the flange housing to the adjacent construction using the appropriate fixing screws.
-
If multiple housing units support the same shaft:
-
Initially, tighten the screws finger-tight.
-
Align the shaft carefully to ensure it is straight.
-
Finally, tighten the screws securely to the recommended torque.
-
-
-
Fitting the Eccentric Locking Collar
-
Slide the eccentric locking collar onto the inner ring of the bearing.
-
Rotate the collar by hand, preferably in the direction of shaft rotation, to ensure proper seating.
-
Position the collar firmly against the shaft using a drift or similar tool.
-
Tap lightly with a hammer, applying one or two light blows to lock the collar in place.
-
-
Tightening Grub Screws (if applicable)
-
For bearings with grub screws in the inner ring, first tighten both screws by hand.
-
Using a torque wrench, tighten the grub screws alternately to avoid uneven stress.
-
Continue alternating until the recommended tightening torque is reached (see table below).
