Adapter Sleeves

Adapter sleeves are used for locating bearings with a tapered bore onto a cylindrical seat.

They are easy to install and require no additional location on the shaft.

Adapter sleeves can be used on both plain and stepped shafts. When mounted on a plain shaft, the bearing can be fixed at any point. On a stepped shaft, the exact axial positioning can be secured by a spacer ring.

Hydraulic Adapter Sleeves

Hydraulic Sleeves are used on larger bearings and have oil feed holes and oil grooves in order to use hydraulic forces when installing and removing a bearing. During assembly, oil is pressed between the mating surfaces, which considerably reduces the assembly forces.
